"This bottling is made from fruit sourced in the Cuesta Vineyard in the Twenty Mile Bench sub-appellation of Niagara to supplement the small (but growing) estate production. Winemaking philosophy is simple, following an approach of minimal intervention, no fining or filtration. I have to say, the nose is quite precise and clean, still fresh and fruity-floral, with an appealing orchard fruit and oatmeal nose, the kind you get from lots of lees ageing in old barrels off of the Niagara Escarpment. It's exceptionally rich and fleshy at just 12.7% alcohol declared, at once voluptuous and glycerous, but also sharply wound and coiled, with very good length and depth. Right out of the gates this will stand alongside several other fine chardonnays from this vineyard, and the Escarpment area in general, Niagara's best to be sure. A brilliant first bottling I have to say. Best from 2024-2029. Tasted February 2024. 92 points"

"Dense and flavourful, this low-intervention chardonnay boasts an appealing degree of texture and complexity on a relatively low-alcohol framework of 12.7%. Labelled as a product of Canada, likely due to the small-scale production, this new Prince Edward County winery appears to be sourcing its fruit, for this label, from the Cuestra vineyard in the Twenty Mile Bench appellation in Niagara. A promising first vintage, this cleanly made, lightly leesy, elegant white with a surprisingly lofty palate is more substantial than expected. Exhibiting, notable finesse and complexity with excellent length. Highly memorable. Tasted February 2024. 93 points"
